Identity Theft is not simply about people using your credit or banking information. Thieves can use your SSN with your name or with someone else’s name. Social Security doesn’t care because they collect on all the people working under that number and they only have to pay benefits to one person…There’s is no way to PREVENT any form of Identity Theft! Why? Because our information is already “out there.” It resides in databases from the Hospital where we were born to County Registrar where we pay property taxes, to the DMV where we have our driver licenses, all we can do is protect ourselves.
