you can also try sending phony names, passwords and account numbers. I KNOW you can google fake credit card numbers. If the “bank” website accepts your phony crap, you know it’s a scammer. I did that a little while back. I sent account numbers from Jonny Naive, Susan Noob and several other account holders and this website just ate it up.

Oh, and NEVER give out bank info via e-mail. If the bank really wants to get in touch they WILL snail mail you.

i got a phishing phone call from smothing about a boat and needed credit card numbers and stuff you can report this kind of stuff to the ftc
