Is On Line Banking Safe? – Identity Theft Speaker John Sileo
http://www.sileo.com/2009/02/23/is-online-banking-is-safe-from-identity-theft/ Identity theft speaker and expert John Sileo speaking on this video about On-Line banking and identity theft risk. The professional ID Theft speaker gives keynotes seminars and workshops on personal and business privacy.
I am starting to reconsider my opinion that online banking is safer than traditional banking. Primarily because I have been hearing horror stories during some of my identity theft seminars. But now I am seeing it in the mainstream media. Case in point: read this short article in this mornings USA Today about Hackers Swarming Bank Accounts. Im open to your opinions, but I feel like the thieves are starting to win. In a YouTube video post I did some time ago about online banking, I suggested that if your computer is well-protected, you are better to bank online.
But lately, it seems like the thieves are a step ahead. What are your thoughts? Have you had any troubles with identity being compromised because of the types of threats discussed in the article?

Sony’s Welcome Back program is ready to sign you up. I’ve got details on the Identity protection program right her at Clevver Games.
Hi everyone I’m Andrea Rene with the latest info from Sony regarding their cyber attack. It has been over a month now since the Playstation Network was taken down in response to a security breach at one of Sony’s facilities.
The Playstation Network is back online and running smoothly, but the Store is still waiting for deployment. While you wait to download the free games Sony has offered, you can enroll in their Identity Theft Protection program. The service is called AllClear ID Plus and it provides alerts of fraud, insurance coverage, and access to fraud investigators.
If you’re a PSN or Qriocity active account holder as of April 20th you’re eligible for 12 months of free service. To get registered click on the link in the story info below which takes you to Sony’s website. This announcement couldn’t come any sooner as it was discovered that earlier today there was yet ANOTHER security breach with some on Sony’s international websites.
Sony Ericsson’s Canadian website had a breach that put 2,000 users’ data at risk along with attacks on Sony in Thailand, Japan, and Greece. Seriously, someone has it out for them! As if losing over $3 billion dollars from the earthquake in Japan wasn’t bad enough. Can we just kiss and make-up already? Thanks
Alright that’s the latest Sony update from Clevver Games. Make sure you’re following us on Twitter for all the hottest gaming news. I’m Andrea Rene and I’ll see you next time.
