It is really sad that being online could lead to misfortune. Criminals used to come in through unlocked doors and windows, now they can come in through a computer.
$1.5 billion annually leaves the US economy (negative stimulus) due to scams of this type. The victims are hurt the worst but the US economy also suffers at the loss of this spending power. Be aware of and avoid phishing 419 Nigerian email scams. They can lead to identity theft, financial loss and other crimes against you or your loved ones. The top rated music video “I go chop your dollars” talks about the Advance Fee Fraud and the mentality behind it and calls those who fall for it mugu (fools).
