Scary Online Predator – Identity Theft
Identity theft is a serious issue that has emerged with the development of new communication methods on the Internet, like anonymous chat-rooms. It is a term used to refer to fraud that involves stealing money or getting other benefits by pretending to be someone else.
Through this (hopefully funny) video, we hope to convey this message to potential teenagers (and their parents) that meeting up with strangers on the Internet can be a really scary.
Please view full-screen and 480p to read the MSN conversation (may add subtitle next time), I apologize for the inconvenience caused… the video is basically how a online predator acted as a girl and talked to a unsuspecting guy and traced him down by probing and tracing the places he frequents and the slippers he wore, and the second time he arranged for a meeting with him right outside his house (void deck) and “attacked” in the lift XD
