Identity Theft

Frank Abagnale (whose life is the inspiration behind the movie Catch Me if You Can) was an identity thief for many years in the 1970′s and then worked for the government to help catch ID thieves. He now works with Affinion Security Center advising consumers on what they can do to protect themselves from identity theft.

As the holiday season approaches, more busy consumers are at risk for ID theft, because they are engaging in risky online behaviors. According to a recent survey 60% are “bargain hunting” at insecure or unknown websites, and many are leaving passwords saved in their computers and not checking financial statements as closely as they should. Frank was a guest on the show and discussed identity theft this season, and tips that listeners can use to protect themselves!

The students were not informed until at least a month later and are told to go on consumerinfo.com to sign up for one year of free credit report and monitoring, courtesy of the company that lost the important information.

the FTC had sued consumerinfo in the past for being deceptive.

Mike Bloomberg not feeling the heat thanks to gov. Paterson’s debacle, links to MTA editorials

Have you noticed the press are not asking Mike Bloomberg any tough questions? Mike Bloomberg is breathing a sigh of relief which I talked about in the YouTube Elizabeth Benjamin linked to from her blog although her piece was on Dave Paterson and my YouTube demanded Paterson step down. Bloomberg must be thrilled because all the attention is off him and City Hall and on Dave Paterson.

I gotten written up in Elizabeth Benjamin’s column in The New York Daily News and the stalking resumes because the article links to a youTube that slams Paterson but also guess who? Bloomberg.

Meet the scoundrels – 1: Lawmakers kill student MetroCards and blame MTA

Go to the above YouTube — than see the YouTube that it is linked to and go to that one. In the text portion of that one is Elizabeth Benjamin’s piece that includes me.

This YouTube is mine on Mike Bloomberg in big trouble.

Even Ed Koch was brave enough speak up against Paterson but Bloomberg seems to basking in the Paterson debacle because the heat is off him.

Based on this newest flurry of crazy cyber attacks by Bloombergforlife posing as NicoHitler, I am beginning to think that Mike is going to try and run for President and that is why he has is campaign staff at city hall and why this guy I believe is still acting on Bloomberg’s behalf. The cyber stalker even compares me to Charlie Rose in a critical way of course and that happens to be someone else on Bloomberg’s payroll that benefits big time from his friendship with Bloomberg. Look at my political art poster lampooning Mike.

Australian passports stolen for Israeli Mossad Dubai Murder

Foreign Minister Stephen Smith says three Australians whose passports were allegedly used by suspected Mossad assassins in Dubai appear to have been the victims of identity fraud.

Dubai police have named 15 new suspects in the assassination of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was found dead in his hotel room last month in what police say was almost certainly an Israeli hit.

Police say three of the suspects travelled to the emirate on Australian passports in the names of Adam Marcus Korman, Joshua Daniel Bruce and Nicole Sandra McCabe.

Speaking after meeting the Israeli ambassador in Canberra today, Mr Smith said the Australian Federal Police would conduct a full investigation into how the passports had been copied or altered.

“At this stage Australian officials have no information to suggest the three Australian passport holders were involved in any way other than as victims of passport or identity fraud,” Mr Smith said.

“The Australian Government condemns in the strongest possible terms the misuse and the abuse of Australian passports.”

Mr Smith said he also told ambassador Yuval Rotem that the Australian Government expected Israeli officials to cooperate “fully and transparently” with the AFP’s investigation.

Earlier Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said he was determined to “get to the bottom” of the case.

He told AM that officials had been working on the case through the night and pledged the Government would “not let the matter rest” and that Australia “will not be silent on the matter”.

“If Australian passports are being used or forged by any state, let alone for the purpose of assassination, this is of the deepest concern and we are getting to the bottom of this now,” he said.

“We will not leave a single stone unturned.”

Asked what action the Government may take against Israel, Mr Rudd replied: “Let us establish the facts first.”

The three Australians named will be contacted by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

“This is not just a deep concern for the Australian Government, it must be therefore the deepest concern to any individual associated with this as well,” Mr Rudd said.

‘Simply unbelievable’

Mr Korman, 34, is Australian-born but lives in Tel Aviv where he sells musical instruments.

In an interview with Israeli media he has denied any involvement and says he is the victim of identity theft.

AM tried to contact him, along with a Bruce Daniel who lives near Haifa in Israel’s north, but neither was answering the phone.

But Mr Korman has told Israel’s biggest newspaper Yediot Aharonot that he is shocked over what has happened.

“It’s identity theft. Simply unbelievable,” he is quoted as saying.

“It’s a violation of human rights to do such a thing. I have travelled all over the world but never visited Dubai or the United Arab Emirates.”

Mr Korman also told the paper he was perplexed as to how he could fly to Australia again now that he is considered an international suspect.

“I have been frightened and shocked since receiving the news,” he reportedly said.

AM has confirmed that Australian Nicole Sandra McCabe also lives in Israel.

When contacted this morning, her family in Australia said they had no knowledge of her name being linked to the Dubai investigation.

Dubai police have released new information about the movements of the 26 suspects before and after the assassination.

All had apparently travelled to Dubai from one of six European cities or Hong Kong, and each left the country to various destinations, including Hong Kong and Iran, before returning to Europe where they apparently abandoned the fraudulent passports.

Many had also used credit cards issued by the same US bank.

Police also released new vision from the hotel’s security cameras showing the man named as Mr Bruce with one of the French suspects inside the hotel.

The Israeli foreign minister has said there is no proof his country carried out the killing.

MACEDONIA IDENTITY THEFT

Every inscription ever found from the Ancient Macedonian language is in Greek. Every personal name every name of their homeland is Greek. They were identified as Greeks long before they ever came into prominance and they identified themselves as Greeks. They spread the Greek (hellenic) language and culture throughout all the lands they conquored which began the HELLENISTIC period of history.

The people now exclusively claiming the Macedonian name, history and ultimately the land are contrary to every known record of macedonians. They are a slavic people living in a land that was never Macedonia using personal names that are slavic and speaking a bulgarian dialect. It is an irredentist agenda that was begun in 1944 with the communist Tito seeking a passage to the Aegean for the slavic people. Every form of propaganda has been dispatched to make the world believe that the sea is purple and that their right to self identification has been violated. They play the victims with fake records, distorted facts, misquotes and outright lies.

They believe in your ignorance.

They believe that you will never read history but instead get so used to seeing the Ancient Greek name of Macedonia related to them that you will simply begin to associate it with them.

STOP the theft of History. STOP the theft of a Greek identity. Stop the irridentist plans of the slavic country claiming to be THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. Its name has never been Macedonia despite what their propaganda and their propagandists tell you. STOP THE LIES
